HIRING: Experienced Transportation Dispatcher

The Robert Anstey Group of Companies has an immediate opening for an experienced transportation dispatcher for in province transportation. Our group of companies operate in a diverse range of industries from Automotive, Construction and Recycling with logistics and transportation being a link between all operations.
This is an office-based position and will operate from our head office at 50 Robin Hood Bay Road, St John’s, NL. This position is an integral part of the operations and transportation team. The people that work here are key to our success and growth. Every person plays an important role in our overall supply chain.

JOB DUTIES:
Assist the owner and operations manager in dispatch and logistics
Work in cooperation with the fleet coordinator to integrate the required systems and the day to day operations of the trucks and trailers
Work with individual drivers to maintain the system on a go forward basis
Manage incoming loads and confirmation of customer project sites
Verify rates on incoming loads and enter information into the system
Ensure information is entered accurately and timely into our dispatch system
Coordinate equipment to meet requirements of daily operation
Develop a thorough understanding of Satellite tracking system to be aware of all driver’s activities throughout the province
REQUIREMENTS:
5 years experience in logistics and dispatch
Comfortable using computers and programs
Experience in e-log and gps tracking systems
Willingness to train company drivers in e-log and help maintain the overall system as needed
